e-bikes for everyone

Entertainment for the Whole Family

E-Bikes is a Fast Growing Industry, for all ages. They are a new way to commute and it is something for the Family to enjoy together. If you want to commute around town or go on the bike trail for the day E-Bikes allows that to happen. Outings with the family just got a lot more fun. Taking off for the day or for a couple of hours has been easily achieved. Plus, it’s a great time to bring your kids. They can see for themselves what beauty lies ahead of them each day when out with mom and dad. Of Course unless you are around Nature and that is it, maybe kids will not find it fulfilling as mom and dad does.

Transportation with kids has also become more easy to do. There is a pull trailer that hooks up behind the E-Bike. Kids are covered with a cover that comes with the trailer. Mom and Dad can either put their favorite toys with them or just a few pillows for them to relax. The trails where especially these bikes are found are plentiful with all ages. Depending on the day kids are with their parents in a trailer or on the back of the bike with them. Of Course that practice is not real safe. There are bike carriers where kids can sit.

Know your E-Bike Class

  • Class 1 is E-Bikes that top out at 20 mph. The Motors engage with pedal assist.
  • Class 2 is E-Bikes that Peak at 20 mph. But they include a throttle that can be used when they are not pedaling.
  • Class 3 is an E-Bike that hits speeds of 30 mph that may or may not have a throttle.

The common manufacturers that I see here in my area are Aventon and Lectric One E-Bike. A lot of families and even Single folks are trailing around on the trail. I did have the opportunity a few years ago to ride a Lectric E-Bike. Top Speed was about 28mph and it did have pedal assist. My Buddy and I were out for a few hours and put some good miles on it and it never let us down or die on us.

Recently we were out on a Bike trail and came across a Couple, She was riding an Aventon and he was on a Bakcou E-Bike. It was very impressive. The Stance was made to pull Deer or wild game and climb hills. I was just in awe of excitement. It reminded me of my 29-inch Mountain Bike. The Company was out of Utah and with a hefty $7800 price tag. But he was enjoying his time out and seeing the sights with his Wife. They had a Lunch Packed on their bikes and were out for the afternoon. I must say I ever get a chance to test-ride a Bakcou I am gonna do it.

Trail Etiquette For E-Bikes

  • Be Mindful of your Surroundings either on them or Sharing the Trail with them
  • Announce while on them either with a Horn or a Bell or slow down and let them pass
  • Depending on your area please look to see if they are allowed on your trail. In some areas, they are prohibited.

The only downside of E-Bikes is their length of Battery life. Unless you don’t have a spare and want to venture out for the day you have to be mindful of how far you can go. I believe they are a lot of fun and can spend a lot of time with family and make a lot of memories.

Stay Safe Everyone and God Bless
