Planning for a Vacation
Every year it is the anticipation of a family Vacation. Everyone is older and more mature, the kids have been waiting to hear what mom and dad have planned this year. Try to see if the previous one is outdone by this one. Family Vacations are like the Holidays it is expected and a tradition to make memories with the kids and possibly with other friends of the family that join. Mom and Dad discuss with each other what they will chat with the kids along the way. The plan is to help the kids communicate and want to hear their responses. Let them say what they want and let Mom and Dad learn how they can play a pivotal role in their life.
Dad wants to teach his sons how to fish and live off the land if they have to, teaching them first aid, cooking, and hunting is very essential. When is the best time to teach them this? Now when they are out and about and possibly camping along the way. Mom wants to talk about staying strong and keeping the boy’s mind straight and focused. She also lends a hand to her daughter to do what the boys are doing. Teaching them to cook and hunt and fish. Family Values need to be what is said. Valued and not taken for granted.

Sitting around and spending time with your kids is so vital as Adults. We are in their world for a minute and do not realize it then we step back in ours and it is complicated or messy. Our Children are small once. Memories with them are priceless and yet we sometimes think we need time for ourselves. Which is completely wrong. A strong family grows apart but always has time for each other and not just for Holidays or birthdays. That my friend is Living Abroad. Not just living in separate homes but living with each other when we have the time to do so. We adults want to teach them and say when they are bigger or older. Why Not introduce some of the things now?
